Shawdesh Desk: Police of Kotwali Model Police Station in Barishal arrested a DGM (deputy general manager) of Bangladesh Bank over land related forgery in a raid at Nathullabad area in Barishal on Friday noon.

The arrestee is identified as Saidul Islam, a deputy general manager of Bangladesh Bank, hailed from College road area in Barishal city.

Bidhan, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of Barishal Model Kotwali Police Station, said acting on a tip-off a team of law enforcers conducted the drive and arrested him from the area.
Earlier, Advocate Jalil filed a case against Saidul and his wife named Israt Jahan over land related forgery with the Police station four month ago.

Saidul was absconding since filing of the case.
